Let's hope that handicap really kicks in tomorrow 🙏. In the head to head I'm up against pogo - will it be oh n0?

I watched the game, NZ are always behind the eight ball and yes the commentators appear sometimes seem to be watching a different game than we are, one thing I've noticed is the majority of runs are scored on the leg side, often from balls bowled outside off stump scored by batters who are outside the wide line, it is a bit different but still entertaining. Speaking of women's sport what a croc of shit that the women want double rounds of Super rugby and full time contracts, who's gunna pay for it, maybe the NPC is to be sacrificed for womens rugby.

I also remember the WRC Ford Escorts doing a few laps between races as a promo - probably before the Daniel Coon banking took place. -
Mate when you factor in my inability what my 3 other team mates have achieved is nothing short of phenomenal . If only they had known they were starting the comp with a handicap . Go team McGinty .

We're just lucky The Whale didn't enter otherwise we'd be chasing $700k just on his efforts alone 🙄 -
So 10 weeks in and this is where we all sit. The average team collect to date is $20,710.60 (by my basic maths), so 7 teams are above the average, 5 teams below. It's impossible to work out the exact total-spend due to some people taking the $2 quinella option and others not, but without the quinellas we've spent a total of $5,600 each, $22,400 per team, a grand total of $268,800 imaginary dollars over 10 weeks. Only Team McGinty has so far recovered an amount greater than that of their team-total spend. Showing just how close the top 6 teams are, Team Bonecrusher sits number 1 on the overall points table but in $$$$ earned they only rank number 5. There is only $373.80 between the second highest tally and the sixth highest tally - the McGinty greed sees them clear on the dollars-earned table 🤣

another loss.I hope that all the commentator listen to a replay of the game and give a donation to a charity everytime they played up the abilities of the nz batters and bowlers. -

Yeah, I got on at $21s after his first run in Sydney where, to put it politely, the jockey did not exert himself! Will be a good test. 9 is getting on but he is pretty tough. -

Mark is a first class caller. For some reason, some people don’t like his calling. But his commitment to greyhound racing and his knowledge is second to none. That’s why he’s in HALL OF FAME steve -
Sat in that stand many a time in the 60's, 70's and 80's--even when it provided seating for the Jimmy Thunder fight in 1987. Great vibe as was always the case at most race meetings "back in the day".

It's better to regret selling than regret not selling. Seven figures for a gelding when you own the dam and most of the siblings is an easy sell. Even if (IF) he comes out and wins the Caulfield Guineas and the Kiwi next year you'd still struggle to be mad that you sold. -

Pretty much similar timing and situation for me Idolmite - just nothing inspiring enough to get me back as it stands. -
Sat in there MANY a time myself. NOT in 1943 however. Or even 1953, 1963, or even 1973. But late 70's through the 80's, 90's and early noughties, but rarely since then and several years now since I set foot in the place at all.

The old stand looks depressingly dilapidated & empty. Getting rid of it will at least give the space purpose again. It can only help improve the aesthetics of the park.

Thanks . And the races selected will be great as well. I wonder if syndicates like BGP will get involved?

For me this is a classic case of forgetting who came 2nd or 3rd in some key races. If I had been asked, prior to their announcement, who Hilal was I would not have been able to answer the question. This video on the GW site gives a summary of Hilal's important races.. https://www.gwstud.com/hilal-race-summary
