After 11 weeks of pool play and three weeks of play-offs we have our Fabulous Fours winners.
and what an incredibly close finish - Nicolini Vito flashed home but came up just short for Pondy. A low scoring match but couldn't have been closer.
Congratulations to team Bonecrusher (Foxmerts, Pete, Idolmite and Stoyd) - minor premiers and carried that form into the play-offs and finished as deserved champions.
and congratulation also to our plate winners Imperatriz (Jack, Ohokaman, Peter RS and #48) who were comfortable winners today, lead by Peter RS but with all four team members making healthy contributions
Thanks to everyone who took part - great turnout each week, played in great spirit and with a healthy bit of banter (mostly from the lippy Ockers).
Hope to see you all next Saturday for the Losers Get Laid comp.
Pondy a head short of victory in the end . Right down to the Wire in the Grand Final. Congrats to the victor's !!
Also , on behalf of Team Rough Habit , congrats to the Very Speedy IMPERATRIZ team taking the 'Say No More Four's Plate 'today . A nice Best bet to Jack to finish it off in style. Well done mate. Great final to you and O'man , Peter RS and that dusty #48 too.
Thank you very much John for your sterling effort there 'manning the Boards' , Scooby, and also to my fab star Rough Habit Team enjoying plenty of solid gallops against star opponents each week for a bit of fun.
Gutted... initially thought mine had got up and that would have given us the win, but the photo finish told a different story... well done Bonecrusher, consistent throughout the comp
To be fair they have raced on it the 2 last weeks , one of them after the 230mls , the track looked threadbare . And visibility more the issue I think .
Ellerslie is actually supposed to handle 40mls on the day .
Does not a " matted root structure " suggest that the roots could not go down because of hard compaction, and they went horizontally instead, a bit like the roots in a potted plant from the nursery?
Veandercross need Nicolini Vito or Devils Throat for Pondy or Maharba for SNM - it would need to drift or have Pintoff run second.
Rough Habit's best chance is Devil's Throat for VC.
6 million at Avondale and we are talking Turkey. People involved in these processes like being paid huge sums and many are clipping the ticket, you can't beat Country Clubs and people with a passion
2024....everyone wants the Bling
.
Was the Kensington a strathayr old mate? Did they pull it up? Seems they didn’t follow all the instructions here and didn’t put down turf but seeded it. Fatal move by the looks of this. Plus they sold the great northern for this
