EVEREST SLOT FOR ARCADIA QUEEN

EVEREST SLOT FOR ARCADIA QUEEN

Arcadia Queen, winner of the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) in West Australia, is the latest contender to be locked in for the third running of The Everest (1200m) at Randwick on October 19.

Bob Peters has negotiated a deal with slot holders Star Casino to get a slot for the Pierro mare.

Having won five of her six starts for Grant and Alana Williams, Arcadia Queen was transferred into the care of Chris Waller, with Peters having expressed his desire to target the lucrative prizes on offer in Sydney, including a potential tilt at the inaugural Golden Eagle (1500m) – a $7.5 million contest for four-year-olds.

Arcadia Queen joins Pierata (Aquis), Classique Legend (Bon Ho and Carmel Size Racing), Santa Ana Lane (TAB), Sunlight (Max Whitby Syndicate) and In Her Time (Inglis) as confirmed runners in this year’s $14 million The Everest.
