New Zealand jockey Alysha Collett and Australia’s Joseph Azzopardi have both been granted licenses by the Singapore Turf Club for the remainder of the 2019 season, running from July 1 to December 31 inclusive.
Collett, 25, will make her second Singapore visit. Last year, she was licensed for six months but had to leave early after hurting her back in a race fall on October 14. She returned to New Zealand to recover, ending her Kranji stint in 15th position in the title race with a haul of 11 winners from 181 rides.
Other expatriate jockeys to be granted licenses include Vlad Duric, who is set to partner Lim’s Cruiser in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes (1200m) at Royal Ascot.
