Flight Coffee One Of The Best In Wellington
and. Their flagship cafe does their brand justice. They have 2-3 single origins on for espresso and batch brew at any given time and do flights as well. Their hand drip isn't quite as dialed in as the other stuff, since it's not really a thing in Wellington like it is in other countries. Wellington is definitely a city of commodity, milk based coffee culture, but you can have some spectacular black coffee at then Hangar. Staff is friendly, but avoid brunch - lunch if you can, if you're just in it for the coffee as it can get super packed....
Circus Circus, Mt Eden
e with a cool retro Circus theme, if you've been there you'll remember it.
I've been to Circus Circus in Mt Eden a number of times this year, mostly for business meetings but also socially.
The service is snappy, the staff are onto it and helpful.
Good food selection and most importantly, very good coffee! I've tried their flat white, espresso and macchiato.
It's surprising big if you wander down the back, but it can get very busy - it's popular with a loyal following, for me it's by far the best cafe on the main strip.
Unlike most cafes that close at 3pm, they are open in the evenings and take online bookings, they also do private functions.
Parking can be a challenge in the Village as can driving south down Mt Eden Road until you get to the main traffic lights, the traffic from the city can be backed up at almost any time of day. But it's worth the effort as Mt Eden still has a cool Village vibe....
