Forum Help : Messages and Threads

When you visit a particular forum, the first page you'll see is the Message Index. This is a list of recent "threads". A thread is a group of messages on the same topic.

To read a thread, click on it's title in the index. A new page will open with the first messages and any replies.

You can change the way messages and threads are displayed in several ways:

• At the bottom of the message index, use the "Display Options" form. This works for the current forum only.
• In your control panel, click "Edit Options" and change the "Thread Display Options".
• When viewing a thread, click the "Thread Tools" menu and select an option. This allows you to use linear or threaded views for each thread.
