puha 2,177 Report post Posted June 8, 2018 As we hit winter and apprentice claims become crucial it’s important the NZTR/TAB work together . An example today is Matt McNelis is riding the FF fav Miss Lizzie in R8 today carded weight 55 kg Matt claiming 4kg. Quick look at fields on NZTR shows you Matt min weight is 54.5kg so therefore will be only claiming .5 kg at best. It’s not good enough as many punters will be backing the horse under false pretences.
Kloppite 315 Report post Posted June 8, 2018 yep this is a really good point - you get the 1 in 55 strike-rate but you don't get the 4kgs to help compensate
puha 2,177 Report post Posted June 9, 2018 Having a check on the TAB site this morning the offical result has Miss Lizzie running 3rd with Matt Mcnelis (a4) so we can expect him to have claimed his allowance.Check results on the NZTR site and carded weight is 55kg carried 54kg. So only 1kg was claimed. What would be difficult if someone at the TAB worked in with NZTR and oncourse officials and adjusted the claims before the first race so they are accurate for punters who are solely using the TAB site or using the screens oncourse and TAB oulets? Shad 1,558 Report post Posted June 9, 2018 Totally agree, we need to know what weight the horse is carrying to the barrier, been caught out a couple of times on this issue, needs to be more clarity for the punter. puha
