Kotare_Hunter 748 Report post Posted May 30, 2018 From the all stars website "8 of 21 runners have drawn the second line this year which is not great considering there are 8 gates on the front line and 5 on the second" Fartoomuch
westview 155 Report post Posted May 30, 2018 Sounds very unlucky, wonder what they think of the odds of heads or tails 50/50 not very fair
lamour 673 Report post Posted May 30, 2018 Unlucky alright. But if you want to talk about unlucky just look at Bonnie Joan’s draws this season. Sure, some have been because of preferential draws but she couldn’t catch a break all season. JackSprat 947 Report post Posted May 30, 2018 If you have 8 horses off the front and 5 off the back, you have a 38% chance of drawing the second row. All Stars runners have a 38% of drawing the second row, just like everyone else. All Stars have 21 runners. 38% of 21 is 8. Exactly the number of second row draws they received. Nothing unlucky about it at all. Just simple maths, and the law of averages.
