jeepers 276 Report post Posted April 21, 2018 It is interesting that Inglis take six weeks to pay for a horse sold at their sales whereby if one sells cattle at any sale in Aust the stock firm must pay within fourteen days,by law. What is NZB's payment time? The Diceman Cometh 125 Report post Posted April 21, 2018 Depends how long it takes you to syndicate the horse.
Tauhei Notts 1,403 Report post Posted April 22, 2018 New Zealand Bloodstock generally pay for the yearling sales on about 6th March. One unusual thing is that if the horse is bought by a New Zealander the GST thereon (if the sale is dated January) is due to be paid to the tax man on 28th February, but the cash does not come through until about 6th March. A bit tough.
jeepers 276 Report post Posted April 22, 2018 Yes these Bloodstock firms are a bit tough and yet when you're buying they want their money straight away. Obviously they must invest at a daily rate our money and with the millions at stake gives them a handsome reward.
