Gough at it again

Recommended Posts

Before his controversial petrol tax has kicked in, this failed politician has declared a new tax for Aucklanders - $1.30 per week ($67.60 per annum) clean water tax to keep the beaches pollution free.      Those on a low income (his party followers - those on the minimum wage) and the Pensioners (below the minimum wage) will as usual suffer the most.     Even worse than at the moment health care (with Health insurance rocketing) will be overlooked by these people and although the necessary drinks will still be consumed it will mean less left over for essentials such as healthy meals.       Mr. Gough - when are you going to realise the big problem is at your own doorstep - over employment by council, you only need to see how many are shovel leaning and how many actually working at the multitude of road works etc. to know this, and of course the most necessary overseas trips for such reasons as visiting sister cities for example, and the multitude of highly paid "expert" consultants who not only cannot come up with any solutions to the cities problems but recognise they onto a fat cash cow and therefore extend their period of consultation just to get even fatter on the ratepayers milk.     But this form of socialism is what the citizens voted for so they will have to bear the burden.     But idiotic as it may seem, come next elections, they will return this man to the mayoralty (or his "appointee" if he steps down) and the whole vicious cycle starts again.     In the meantime, his mates in Wellingtown in that appropriate named edifice, the Beehive (the place where you get stung)  are also scheming their little goodies such as CGT to further cripple the honest hardworking taxpayer!

Globederby - how much to travel to this area by Air Ron?

Yes , well that's another story.  Being slightly isolated does have its drawbacks. I grew up in Wgtn by the sea, although that and the sand always  ended up in your face due to the wind. Havnt missed that for 35 yrs.
