MisterEd 332 Report post Posted January 16, 2018 Reasons why grass track racing is better: Bigger fields Better atmosphere Bigger dividends Blair and Dexter can not seem to dominate on the surface = fair racing Slower times gives every horse a better chance Softer surface = fewer horse injuries You could go on and on about the benefits but I guarantee they will reduce the number of grass track meetings in future instead of increasing them! Why? Because logic does not seem to be available in the heads of some of the racing fraternity these days! Good on Marlborough for running on grass this weekend. I applaud your administration for your willingness to try something different. Taku Umanga and We're Doomed

john legend 744 Report post Posted January 18, 2018 With next season racing dates even few remaining dates are reduced. Are those in charge totally out of touch or should we have a race day where all drivers wear black armbands and with a lot of publicity they may see that they are destroying an important part of our heritage. maybe min of racing needs direct approach. I for one will be writing to him to step inbefore it s too late.
