60ml to be precise. Then this week, low cloud, no wind and drizzle. Yes they only got 6 mls but with no drying until yesterday, there has been little movement between Dead 5 and Dead 6. Add to that that track has a wonderful sole of grass as Sweeney showed us yesterday on the First Call. 

You also must remember that the track manager keeps the moisture in the track now so that he doesn’t have to water late in the piece. (He’s obviously learnt from the mistakes of his old man and is doing a wonderful job, the best in the country.

It’s 22 degrees already at Trentham, so there will be improvement, but still no wind. 

My guess is that this will be a perfect track, nothing will jar up, therefore those that want to be back for next Saturday will be!

My final prediction is that they will go 58 sec and a piece in the first.

Cubes, you should have been there yesterday, it was a great days racing. 

I did notice thought that the racing was very tight and a lot of runners couldn’t or didn’t get a run until it was too late. Probably the consequences of a near perfect track.

So if Cubity came up North.............. to the Capital of Windiness for the Oakness , then Mrs Cubes has the following questions .....

#1....Is there a good fascinator shop in Wellington ?

#2....Should the Cube Clan plonk a blanket on some sort of lawn somewhere , or should we buy some sort of day pass to some sort of stand ?

#3....Is the Lindauer cold , 'cause at Kurow Mrs Cubes complained that it was room temperature ?

#4...If the Cubinator brings the ungrateful spawn , will there be bouncy castles etc for their dis-interest in all things racing ?

#5...Will any ' Cafers be there , 'cause  the Cubemeister thinks he may need a drink by about Race #3 ?
