dogrug 53 Report post Posted October 27, 2017 NZGRA has asked for an xtra race meeting a week and got told no. The NZRIB Don't like how well our code is going and want to slow the rapid growth.. NZRIB should be a team player and let growing codes grow, and nurturing failing codes. That is there job, is it not?
aquaman 1,352 Report post Posted October 27, 2017 To many race meetings now, they should be asking for a reduction. Quality over quantity any day. Domestic turnovers on the dogs is pathetic. Without Aussie turnover you would be racing for ribbons. The long term strategy of the NZRIB is to get out of domestic racing altogether, preferring to import all their racing at very little cost, and concentrate on Sports betting. To this end, they are changing the Racing Act as we speak to include Sports betting along side Racing that the NZRIB have to return all profits to. The NZRIB are very happy to see NZ racing implode, as we are witnessing in the TB code. Saves them the job. alltheway!!!
