scooby3051 10,865 Report post Posted October 8, 2017 Well everyone Insider has kindly agreed to put up a $100.00 cash prize for a practice run to the Melbourne Cup Comp on the Caulfield Cup. Same rules Pick 1st,2nd and last..... Entries close Thursday at midnight NZ time two days before the Cup. If any of your horses are scratched then you still stay in just in case you still do OK, no changing horses to anything else. Same rules no clear winner then it will be the closest to correct, and if more than 1 winner prize will be split evenly. Thanks Insider for the prize... good luck everyone. Black Kirrama 1,513 Report post Posted October 9, 2017 I've been a very small sponsor these past few months, of Mark Claydon's Thursday evening Radio show. He runs an amazing 2 to 3 hour show. He has been relegated to a Wednesday. He's had many great interviews and contributors . Ted, FormPro boss Neil D , Josh Morton and many others. Thursday evening is when most of us have an Informant and can write notes for the coming weekend. Thursday evening is when Claydon should be on . Mark Claydon brings a huge talent and background knowledge to our radio programs and our racing. Until he's reinstated to a prime slot my miserable financial backing will go towards Insiders Pot for the Caulfield Cup. Add $50 from me.Plus a digital pic of me holding the great Xcellent. I expect Ted (Rdytdy)will do the same and Stephen Lindsay (Tauhei Notts). If the Caulfield Cup is not run for any reason, including the state of the track can we all agree the Caulfield Cup Competiton gets transferred to the 2018 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe ? If it was Thursday you wouldn't get much of a show, as he'd have to cross to the dogs and harness every few minutes. He does an excellent job. It would be good if the TAB could get the fixed odds up for some of the New Zealand weekend races by Wednesday evening so we can get an idea of what Ted's scratchings and Neil's selections are paying,. But Claydon insists he wanted the Thursday evening radio show,.which surprise surprise thru my lobbying and others He gets tomorrow night. 12.10.17. Then he goes on leave, Surely, a Thursday evening on any broad cast show is so much more preferable to a Wednesday evening. It's closer to the event. The Race.The outcome. I like watching preliminarys. They are closer to the out come of races. Mark Claydon needs to be a regular on a Thursday night. Reliable form.What ever that is. I usually note all the tipsters pics then watch the Prelimins, on race day.
