They didn't actually lose votes Bloke.

2017     1,152,075

Can you confirm just how many Kiwibuild affordable homes have been built so far?  Btw. Even Labour have acknowledged that they have inherited a healthy financial set of books from National.

I am buggered if I know Ted but let's give them a chance. Yes National produced a few surpluses after many years of deficits. The first one was produced after he sold off assets which was like selling off the crown jewells to pay for the groceries

I am concerned about you Ted. Whatever, happened to the pleasant guy who used to post about racing.  I can just see you mate waking up in the middle of the night screaming "Jacinda ! Jacinda!"

Nah Bloke, still sleeping as peacefully as ever.  Comrade Cindy doesn't feature at all but if she did it would indeed, as you allude to, be a nightmare. :)

BTW how many new taxes do think will be unleashed by Labour in the next three years. Don't forget that they introduced gst and later put it up and then jumped up and down when National put it up by 2.5%.

Labour...... Tax, spend, tax, spend, tax spend.  As I stated previously socialism works well until they run out of other peoples money. ;)

Ted The Tories had the biggest socialist government from 1975 to 1984 and since then they have not wavered far away. The biggest private enterprise government we had was Labour from 1984 to 1990.

Yes and then that buffoon Lange lost his bottle and pulled the plug on the 24c flat tax, If Douglas had of got that in play this country would be economically a world leader. Your Labour comrade voters would be flush with cash still to today.

GST was another great thing ACT did , it removed silly hidden taxes and put everything clear and in the open. That 1984 govt was one delivered for NZ and achieved a great many things, unfortunately the 2017 govt doesn’t have the talent to deliver anything close.

I agree Barry, GST was very good for the reasons you state but of course it was Labour not Act that introduced it. I am prepared to wait and see before I judge this government but The Tories only have themselves to blame for not remaining in power and they know it. That's why  English and  Joyce have been sent packing.

You have to laugh at how left wing the NZ Herald has become.

Story after story on the front page about Ardern shopping for baby clothes, buying a new house etc etc all fluffy stories about, well,  nothing really. So when the shit hit the fan yesterday re the four sexual assaults at the Young Labour Summer School camp one would expect this to be front page news. But you guessed it, a piece hidden away near the bottom on page five.

Yet when John Key playfully tugged on a waitress's pony tail all hell broke loose on the front pages for weeks.

We have also seen the #metoo campaign highlighted against sexual assault on the front pages yet these sexual assaults at the Young Labour camp barely rates a mention.

Perhaps the NZ Herald should be displaying the Labour Party logo at the top of it's front page these days.

Just last month we had a full front page spread from the Herald highlighting an historic incident from two years ago at law firm Russell McVeagh which involved law students being involved with alcohol and consensual sex in the board room and toilets following a seminar.

Yet the Young Labour event which involved alcohol and unwanted sexual assault only makes a small piece on page 5. Talk about double standards.

At least Duncan Garner this morning wasn't trying to hide it under the carpet and took Ardern head on about it. If someone could post the clip that would be good thanks. Hesi, you are good at that sort of thing so perhaps you would like to put it up for us. Thanks.

Questions are being asked why police and parents weren't told about claims of sexual assault at a Young Labour camp

Appearing on The AM Show on Tuesday, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says her officials were respecting the victims' wishes - but admits it's taken too long to handle the issue.

"I think we took too long because there was a bit of a delay between reaching out and responding with appropriate services," she says.

The Labour Party has confirmed "highly inappropriate" behaviour occurred at its summer camp after four young Labour supporters were allegedly sexually assaulted during a wild party last month.

Newsroom reports witnesses as saying there was "a mountain" of alcohol at the camp and many people, including a 15-year-old boy, were drinking.

A drunken 20-year-old man allegedly put his hand down the pants of at least three young people.

Labour Party general secretary Andrew Kirton told Radio New Zealand's Checkpoint it was the victims' decision not to speak to police. That's why the Labour Party did not inform the parents of the victims about the incident either.

But despite attending the camp, Ms Ardern claims she also was unaware about the alleged assaults and only heard about them on Monday.

"My view is the more important thing was dealing with the issue," she told The AM Show.

"That was the priority of the Party leadership and I support that. So it doesn't bother me that I found out yesterday."

A review is now underway into the camp's procedures, but Ms Ardern has blamed the participants for bringing the alcohol to the camp.

"The very fact that we had people of that age, and that even though alcohol wasn't provided it was present - that wasn't right either," she says.

"So yes there are things that have certainly gone wrong."

The perpetrator has been banned from future Labour Party events.

Police says it is aware of the media reports.

Great to hear from you Hesi, the silence has been that deafening I was considering looking up the death notices in the paper. The other thought was that you had now taken on three jobs in order to be able to pay all the new taxes that your team will be coming up with. :D

How are you coming along with putting up the Duncan Garner interview with Cindy this morning?

I've tried to find something she has done outside the "celebrity" sphere Hesi and all I have come up with is more "Kardashian" shit such as snuggling up with that useless bludger Gayford's previous root! All this while the bumbling Twyford, Woods and Hipkins run amok.

Good on you Hesi.  I will give you some credit however......the less you say the more intelligent you become.

I thought you were a lot more resourceful than that Chevy, I think you'll find most of it is outside the 'celebrity' sphere

It took me about 10 seconds to find a couple of weeks ago when you first asked the question.

A load of codswallop Hesi--they have "started"( 100,000 new homes but after nearly 6 months none completed) "introduced"(legislation) "formed"( an endless list of committees because the useless band of socialists have no policies after 9 years to formulate them) and now this virtue-signalling unmarried mother trumpeting the #metoo mantra is trying to cover for some sleazy young Labour offending!

In all honesty Hesi  I was prepared to give her a chance as I thought she seemed a decent person, although vacuous in the extreme and totally ill-equipped for the job that clown Peters thrust her into.

So far she has been nothing but a sideshow, woman's magazine fodder, badly exposed on her business acumen (well what do you expect never having had a job beyond the public tit) and by the way--"where's Kelvin?"

I think you and Ted will find a 'red under the bed'(excuse the pun), in whatever she does or is reported about her, so we'll just leave it at that, but keep posting photoshopped pics for a laugh

Agree Hesi, but you have to admit that Ted is a talent. Find him a lectern and an electoral committee! or an advertising company that needs a lift.

You're in a very very small minority there Chevy
