Auckland quaddie speed maps

Recommended Posts

Good morning,

The speed maps are a real handy tool to working out what could happen early in a greyhound race. Many say early speed in greyhound racing is gold, so if you know which ones are likely to lead then over time, you will have a real edge over most other punters. We provide speed maps for all NZ greyhound race meetings based on their previous positions at the first marker. Many users are constantly reminding us how much of a bonus it is to have those speed maps available. No one else publishes them with the accuracy that they have shown over time. They can be very handy to work out if a favourite can get squeezed up or get a clear crack at the lead etc. Plus, it takes a lot of the time and guess work out of it.

A recent classic example was on Friday at Wanganui in the fourth race speed map shown below. 8.Cawbourne Buckle clearly showed that if the $1.50 hot favourite, 2.Bigtime Paddy missed the jump, like he did last start when jumping last out of the boxes ( replays are linked to every dogs form), that he could easily cross and lead. Plus he had the best Formpro Rating of any dog last start, so he looked particularly good value at $11. What happened? The 2 dog jumped out last again, and Cawbourne Buckle jumped as mapped and led into the first bend, was headed down the back straight but rallied strongly to get the bob in. It would be nice if they all worked out like that, but of course we know they don't. But if you can find valid reasons for a hot pot to get beaten, it does create regular value bets and with that lady luck on your shoulder, it makes greyhound form analysis much more interesting and rewarding.
