To be fair Aqua, the extremist version of the cult is or was in the minority. Here we have a disenfranchised youth, probably no job, and looking at what the west including England , has done to his own country. Bombing the hell out of Libya has created or accentuated the problem of normal Muslim folk changing sides . In some ways the West is reaping what it sows.  Somewhat sad but the reality of it. Now of course they have an excuse to ramp up security even further and at the present rate we may see a police state come into being .

Globe, his own country is England, He was born in Manchester. This murder was studying at Uni and close to graduating, so hardly fits into the disenfranchised category. Its very hard for us to imagine whats changed in this guys life to even get to a situation where he would contemplate doing this to his fellow countrymen. The police must be in a no win situation with these potential at risk types as well, watch them closely and risk harassing them further down this path or take a back step & risk them continuing on unchecked.

It looks at this stage an impossible battle to win.

Yes Barry I realize he was born in Manchester, but the nagging feeling of the west reaping what it sows is beginning to take hold. I agree it is an impossible battle to win and the total hypocrisy of British politicians in not acknowledging publicly that they are themselves created the part of the  problem in the first place really rankles me.
