chevy86 2,683 Report post Posted May 30, 2017 Here we go! Been on Matamata for barely 5 minutes and heard "Fast Track Insurance Race Day" 3 times already. I suppose it will be "Fast Track Insurance Pick 6" to go with the already named "Fast Track Insurance 1200". Is there a separate contribution for all this advertising exposure apart from the $5K? I certainly hope so. Spare me the applause for Archer's magnanimous gesture of feeding a small proportion of his NEW commissions back into racing when he is getting very cheap saturation coverage for his business. chevy86 2,683 Report post Posted May 31, 2017 Mr BS, I have sponsored races myself, normally kicking in $3K plus a dress rug for a 12-15K race and that gets me naming rights, free drinks and a couple of club sandwiches. I have done it to "give back" after enjoying ownership success and using funds that "may" bring in some business but usually not. Fast Track is apparently only returning a portion of new business attained already, not from potential returns. That is why I get the shits when our industry is captured by "talkers" dock leaf, hedley, barryb and 3 others
Gards 1 Report post Posted February 7, 2019 Late reply, seems this finished a while ago. With a lot of people obviously having no idea and trying to cut down a man trying to give back to an industry he is very passionate about. I Can confirm for you FastTrack has contributed approximately $1.5 million across the two codes with a lot of growth recently. mckenzie
eastern whipbird 82 Report post Posted February 9, 2019 The facts of the matter can be deduced from my experience. When I first insured with Fastrack I was informed by Fastrack that $49 would be paid into racing from the $950 approx premium that I paid. In addition I’d like to know who the brokers used are, if there have been any claims, and what the net cost to the industry is from losing Crombie Lockwood as a major sponsor I do believe that a large portion of the $1.5 million has in fact come from Mr Archers pocket himself to get the initiative off the ground. I remember there was an article in the Informant on David, his horses & FastTrack when he confirmed the figure. The other thing that most don’t realise is the individual racing clubs choose as to where the money returned from FastTrack goes, it is not always used for stakes some will choose to use it on facilities. Westport Harness had a draw at the end of a race where everyone who had a horse in the race had a chance of winning $5k! The brokers used are from Broker Web Risk Services, with the claims team being from the same company.

I am not too sure as to where you could find such a breakdown of contributions etc. The other thing that most don’t realise is the individual racing clubs choose as to where the money returned from FastTrack goes, it is not always used for stakes some will choose to use it on facilities. The brokers are from Broker Web Risk Services along with the claims team, FastTrack is a division of the company.
