Swede 67 Report post Posted May 23, 2017 WAIKIKI BEACH - Stewards questioned driver N Rasmussen regarding the manner she drove near the 150 metres when shifting her gelding outwards after becoming awkwardly positioned close to the front legs of PICCADILLY PRINCESS which was attempting a marginal run between CLASSIE BRIGADE and her runner. After considering the explanation of Ms Rasmussen, Stewards adjourned the matter to give it further consideration. What is there to consider? How much will Piccadilly Princess pay in the Woodlands Stud 4yo Diamond? If she starts the mare should steamroll that mediocre field. Clearly, her odds will be short. I am pondering whether to make her an anchor for multiples or to skip that race and just watch her cruise to victory. Thoughts? JackSprat 947 Report post Posted May 23, 2017 The stipes should be considering the fact that had Piccadilly Princess not been conveniently given room when she was, she runs 4th, and is therefore at best 1st emergency for the Jewels. That not-so-subtle piece of team driving has virtually gifted a winning Jewels cheque to the connections - a race that bar for this incident, she would not even be running in! All Stars have always been very professional in the way they choreograph their team driving, but they seem to have been pushing the boundaries of what they can get away with more and more this year, to the point where the "Piccidilly Princess incident" was just taking the piss. If the stipes sweep this incident under the carpet, they may as well give the All Stars a free reign and let them run all the Group races on their own track at home! Have to agree with your comments, getting repetitive, but nothing will come of it im afraid to say, might pass on the jewels, needs a revamp, and as for having a bet, i won't be.
