Mattski 176 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 A friend of mine has said white feet are "softer" and more prone to problems. Is this a fact or a myth? Thanks,
Dopey 214 Report post Posted January 9, 2017 More fact than fiction can be softer sole and white in legs more prone to mud fever etc but not a reason to not buy a horse in itself porky
rosie one 177 Report post Posted January 10, 2017 white socked horses need shelter or shade from the sun they are prone to sun burnt legs which in turn can turn very ugly indeed. gubellini

Hollywood Baz 10 Report post Posted January 14, 2017 The old saying goes: One white foot buy him, two white feet try him, three white feet be on the sly, four white feet, pass him by. Probably reasonable advice, as white feet likely mean white hooves which are more brittle, and can lead to issues with the more re-shoeing race horses need.
