aquaman 1,352 Report post Posted September 25, 2016 I shall be watching the races tomorrow from Southland with interest, especially the welfare of the mother gull at the end of the back straight. It is to be hoped that allowances are made for it, by having somebody down there, making sure a full field of thundering Greyhounds are not allowed to trample it into the sand like they did last meeting. It was clearly there in the 1st race last meeting, and was still been trampled in the 3rd race. Not a good look, nor a caring attitude for the wildlife of our country. And Big Mouth, i hope you are not involved with Greyhounds for their sake, anybody with such a mean streak has no part in a caring Greyhound Industry. John words mean little, actions count, go down and move the birds to a safer place rather than harp on and get teased mate cheers WB if you need a hand with funds keep the receipts and I'll help out with your endeavour cheers WB

When I was the starter there I got dive bombed by them a few times until 1 night 1 went to do it while I was walk across the middle of the grass inside the rail to the boxes it went away after I said "bring it on ding dong". aquaman 1,352 Report post Posted September 26, 2016 I'll say one thing, its one hell of a tough bird, and very couragous. After being stomped on in the 1st, it was still there being trampled in race 3. And blogs, i don't mind the ribbing if it means the brave gull can bring up her young in peace. One thing that surprises me, is the amount of views this thread has generated. modest mouse
