Things looking brighter at Alex Park this week - bigger fields

Just spotted the Alex Park fields, smallest field is 9 starters then every other race has between 10-13 starters. Even an Emergency in Race 2.

It's a combination of new ratings system and trainers starting fees. There is a large amount of horses accepted that don't normally race at Auckland

It is great to see fuller fields.

As Hermione says probably because no Cambridge meeting on the Thursday that has made the difference.

Comparing last year when there was also only the one meeting up that way,they have about 30 horses more this year. Quite a jump in numbers.

No travel subs from now on that's part of the $50 per start hrnz have brought out instead
