Cubes 1,770 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 OK...So Cubes gets the whole "it's a Group 1 Day at Te Rapa " thing Even though they originally just got the 4 noms But Cubity is off to mighty , mighty Riccarton for some punting action . Mrs Cubes has given the leave pass , Cubemeister has been studying some form , the eldest ( Dodecahedron ) is down in Queenstown , the youngest (Prism ) is fixing some fences down the farm , and Cubes anticipates greatly the views of the jockeys for the weekend . So 9 out of 9 jockey selections from up North ! # % & + ! Oh well.....back to the lucky dartboard !
chelseacol 2,488 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 Lets face it Cubes - jockeys are just trained monkeys along for the ride mainly. So I wouldnt worry about that issue. More importantly it's Riccarton - my favourite racecourse too. Lady byron/Signify/Zero tua Hundred - should be enough .... Might pop out myself - beer on me after Mot ! Insider 3,883 Report post Posted February 12, 2016 It will be interesting to see how Riccarton plays now that they have got rid of the Poa grass. Of course rain will be the real telling feature though. For those that don't know Poa ( if that's how it's spelt) has an extremely poor root system that causes it to chip out when ever it it irrigated or it rains before hand. Liz So it's very shallow and poor at rooting, sounds like Kevin Morton Insider and elbow
