  1. Yes, the Queensland Carnival in July is a cracker!! Leap to Fame hard to beat but I'm sure Grimson will have a runner or two?
  2. Leap To Fame - Interdomion champion, Miracle Mile winner, Hunter Cup 2024 winner. He's done enough Pure mate. A short spell will do him good. Could we see Leap to Fame at Addington, Cup Day, November 12? NZ Metro club should be doing everything they can to get him here.
  3. Amazing that your old fav South Coast Ardern is back my old mate. I didn't see that happening, but I suppose the Kennard's got plenty so can afford to bring him back. And don't let Mangos near the horse. Don't Stop Dreaming stands out if he draws favourably but the rest of the field even and no surprise to see any of them make the top three. You'll need a good nerve tonic, Iraklis mate.
  4. Iraklis mate. I don't know if you saw Hot and Treacherous win on Saturday night. He was ultra impressive, Jason Grimson has him going like a machine. Last night he lead all the way and was keen and alert and strong to the line. He easily held off Expensive Ego, Firefox and the old-timer Double Encounter, driven by the lovely Sofia Ardvidsson, these are all good horses. I am excited Iraklis mate. I think Hot and Treacherous is finally going to show his true ability.
  5. Yes, Don't Stop Dreaming gone to another level thanks to the competitive Australian races he competed in. Don't Stop Dreaming is a length or two better than Self Assured, Rock n roll doo, etc. Now there's no Leap to Fame coming, Don't Stop Dreaming stands out with gorgeous Natalie driving. The trotters more even with champion Just Believe a slight advantage and three or four other live chances. I'm getting nervous Iraklis my old mate...
  6. Thanks, Iraklis mate. Ten is too many for the pacers in my opinion. Eight for trotters good.
  7. Oscar will be back. I would forget about the last run, wet track and a tie up issue. He'll be hard to beat in the Slot with gorgeous Natalie aboard. Just Believe is coming my old mate. He bolted in again last Saturday night at Melton. Jogging! It will be a great race. By the way mate, what is the field size for the Slots? Personally, I think the field should be eight runners maximum. Cambridge is a tight frontrunners circuit and if fields too big many will not get a chance.
  8. I would not worry too much about Chase The Dream, Iraklis mate. The passing lane at Alexandra Park is like a swamp when the track is wet. It was hard to make ground up the lane on Friday evening. It was also a sprint home. He'll keep!
  9. Yes, ST Bettor is suited to the Australian style of racing. The owners should leave him in Australia. Don't Stop Dreaming has had a couple of hard races and he's probably feeling the pressure because he's new to the top grade. He'll keep! Leap To Fame is the best going around at the moment and it will take something special to beat him. He seems to be getting stronger with every race? Hot and Treacherous can keep on winning if he races like he did Saturday night, Iraklis mate. He might finally show his true ability. He was faultless and kept going to the line without Hart asking him for it all. In the past, he's tended to knock off and not have his mind on the job.
  10. Hot and Treacherous won well Iraklis mate. He beat a good field easily. I was pleased to see Leap to Fame win the Miracle Mile and keep his winning streak going. I don't know what happened to Hi Manameisjeff going rough, looked like he was going too fast. The rest of the field had their chances but it was big run from Grimson's other runner Frankie Ferocious. We Walk By Faith disappointing in NSW Derby for M. Purdon.
  11. If he's retired, good on him. Mangos has been in the game a lifetime so time for a change. Make way for younger folk!
  12. Thanks Pure. Conolly is doing a good job with Loyalist. The horse was impressive last week. But it sounds like Grimson writes the training plans for the horse? Grima is another young up and comer and I guess it's good to have a trade to fall back on if harness doesn't work out for him. I like how the Australian trainers/owners give these young drivers a chance. It's something that doesn't happen here. Sarah O'Reilly, the best junior driver since Dexter, gets few drives now she is a senior driver. At a recent Addington meeting she had one drive and it was on a very slow horse, Kennedy, that even Grimson couldn't improve. Crazy. She should move to Australia.
  13. Thanks Pure mate. It's good to get your Aussie perspective. You are right about young Cameron Hart. He's an excellent driver and I believe a big part of Grimson's successes. Loyalist is trained by Joe Conolly (36), is he part of the Grimson crowd too? Conolly has got Loyalist going well, that was a cracking run from the horse Saturday night. Seaton Grima is another up and coming driver Pure? He looks good for a 20 year old!
  14. Manameisjeff from that draw 5, Iraklis mate. He should get to the front quickly and be hard to catch. Loyalist and Sooner The Better, both improving with each start, for the boil over.
  15. There's also the time to consider? When they go 1:49 it finds a few out.
