I do believe Petite Evander beat the Pacers at Claudelands off a handicap back in the 70's ,as I was there . For those to young this is a half mile track

Have to re-qualify if have 30 days without racing, make a break first start off a qualifier or judges say make to many breaks in races and for that sometimes 2 qualifiers . Don't have trials .

Sorry I see it a little bit different to the rest of you, as the assistant was at the horse BUT standing back by the wheel not the head. So I don't see how there was any interference . But I do think it is time standing starts were put back on to the ark as you can handicap off the mobile

I have just joined this forum. I am sorry that some people do not like amateur drivers that is a shame as I have watched the Billings series in the US and some of the amateurs here. Though it was good and yes some of the driving both here and in the US may not be the best there are a few professional drivers here I would not bet with your money.So think of it this way the amateurs and the juniors have to start some wear and I don't remember seeing anybody complaining about there junior races
