  1. I have not in any way "assassinated" anyone's character Hector but good to see you make your first post by having a crack at me, I hope that makes you feel good. if you go back in the thread a bit, you will see I said a nicer bloke you will never meet , sometimes it's just time to face reality, but heh that's only my opinion and if yours is different to mine then that's fine too, probably you don't need to accuse me of things I haven't done though.
  2. It's not about him being the biggest problem in NZ racing, but it is about doing an important job competently and he makes frequent errors that cause problems be they minor or major that are avoidable, I can recall at least 3 times over the past year or two that he's said go and he's forgot the power. Pretty basic I would have thought. Anyway as I said he's not on his own in not recognising when it's time to put your ladder in the shed. Horse and jockey , trainer, owner and punter will get the shits totally if his ineptness shows again and believe me it will. Enough said by me, surely it's clear .
  3. Good on you for sticking up for him , doesn't change the fact , he's had his time , there's always an assistant starter at each track so maybe it's time for his one to step up. too many mistakes I'm afraid.
  4. Nicer guy you wouldn't meet, but he's become a bit of an embarrassment wandering around shouting out orders and then carrying and trying to position his ladder, usually in a different place each race. Little wonder he momentarily loses co-ordination. Might be time to hang up the button Garry !!!
  5. Tauhei Notts, some of us know what you mean by " kindacross" but many may not, why don't you elaborate??
  6. Is it just me or can anyone else not get the results of today's trials up, under results on the nztr website it just provides the fields, the videos are there but not the results??
  7. Worth following this one, another intriguing insight into the vagaries of oz racing. Well done Ted
  8. Well done, maybe I'm just thick but didn't see in the thread what the horse was, if it's confidential that's fine. Good on you for being a successful owner, we are a dieing breed. many more to come I hope
  9. I am pretty sure Grant Cooksley has made it pretty clear on previous occasions that he doesn't rate trackside and would prefer not to talk with them. I cannot categorically confirm this but it may well be the case he was not interviewed after his great ride to win the Easter. This is not an excuse for not interviewing him but it may be the reason. Just saying!!
  10. Keep it up guys, this thread is more exciting to read than Jack Reachers latest exploits I'm currently enjoying.
  11. Suspensions are not adjusted in the case of abandonments or rescheduled meetings , plain and simple. As I said good on them for trying but there were on a hiding to nothing
  12. The JCA were actually being consistent in this ruling and sticking to the rule book. Isnt that what we all ask for 'consistency' And remember you break the rules you pay the price, pretty much the way life works IMHO. I'm not saying don't try your luck but when you don't win suck it up and move on.
  13. I applaud josh's counsel for telling his story, life is not simple and yes people make mistakes but more often than not there is a reason.
  14. This is another attempt to calm the masses with the usual platitudes and promises that never get delivered . "In the meantime however John and I ( that's me Glenda, wonder where Andy Haden is nowadays) will keep our inflated lifestyles intact while you lot fuss about having little meetings that shouldn't really be happening now because I've satisfied you with my thourogh explanation of how us two racing experts ( that's me Glenda and John) are going to fix everything". I hope like hell this doesn't fool anyone and Sunday proceeds as planned with strong action to follow.
  15. Yes Midget, I understand he was the highest paid civil servant in NZ before his secondment to his present career move , which is a long way from the heights he was. Knowing the civil service as I do, I doubt he's taken a pay cut but a demotion is a reality, god help us all for the second hand twits we inherit who are supposed to be going to move us into the great stratosphere of success that apparently is inevatible. Unfortunately we wait, but tonite's thread and your inside info is indeed giving me some hope
