Love the Warrnambool carnival. I would be intrigued to know what Entain are thinking right now about the jumps scene in NZ and the situation in the South Island. It can't just be Riccarton in August.

So it's worse than I realised. Almost total reliance on horses from the North Island to run the Grand National programme. How sustainable is that? I don't think it is.

I had a read of that yesterday. Who is going to be held accountable for this shambles of an investigation?

I appreciate that it's day 1 of the jumping season and on a good 4 track but a hurdle field of 4 and a steeple of 5 is hadly inspiring. I would be interested to know a ball park figure as to how many jumpers are in work for this season. The jumps scene in the South Island I don't believe is that flash esp. steeplechasers.

It's all about a $4.5 mill slot race in 2025. Sorry, I'm underwhelmed.

Can I just say big ups to her. Just goes about her job day after day week in week out no fuss no bother no banner headlines. Gets the job done and 3 wins today an excellent reward for a very good rider.

This is a Group 1 race and supposedly our shop window to the world. Simply not good enough and unprofessional. it just reinforces what many around the world think of racing in this country.

Ha too funny. Race 9 Santa Anita today. The joy or otherwise of small pools and short priced starters vs the rest. It only paid 8's fixed odds.

These are my thoughts exactly when I referred earlier in this thread to AKL today being a shadow of days gone by..

Could be an ideal time to close the place down. Harness racing at this venue is a shadow of days gone by and I don’t see it improving any time soon.
