Im very confident that this is not the reason.....local horses going to the races on grass for a trial instead of risking breaking them down on the synthetic.

They do need to be prepped each day to have a consistent surface - this is a massive cost and shortcuts will result in a poor surface.

She does not have to be vigorous - horses run for her and has just ridden her 300th winner in a short injury interrupted career with plenty more to come. Track Record - did you back Sam Weatherly in the jockeys challenge at Wingatui on Sunday ??

Well said hsvman - totally true - maybe on a cold winters night at Forbury ( as an example ) there may be a few more drivers in the room than usual but no Jockeys......they are all in the bar

I have said it numerous times - "let the caretakers do their job and produce safe tracks " instead of being dictated too by head office as to what track surface they want.

If you can hold off for a year or so try ringing the CEOs that have an all weather track....you may find a cheap set from one of those
