  1. Following on from the Champion v Ashburton R C will be this case which Murray has filed in the Dunedin Court for damages.. He is seeking damages from the Central Otago Racing, Trotting and Equestrian Clubs who banned him from using the Omakau Race course to train his horses. This and subsequent events lead to him being banned from racing for 6 months and our horses transferred to other trainers. Q. WHY was he banned. According to the Statement of Claim for removing some new fencing and placing horse manure around the base of trees instead of in the box behind the stables. The fencing had been removed unbeknown to Murray by the course manager.(Nikki White) The Consortium Secretary (Neville Armstrong) wrote two letters to Murray and he did not reply as in between times he and the Course manager replaced the fences. This is petty bureaucracy at its worst. It and borders on being unbelievable how this root problem has festered resulting in loss of earnings, cost to the Industry, Court costs etc. If it wasn't true it would be farcical. Those of us that know Murray know he is extremely eloquent and he doesn't waste words. So much so that the stress and stain of these events bought the best of his vocabulary out to officialdom leading to more penalties and action. He defied the ban and co trained in the back blocks till a RIU member climbed a tree to evidence him and charge him. Lets wait till the hearing is heard in Court and what can come out after that will give Midget a hard.? After this saga and regardless of wether Murray gets his damages there should be vacancies on the Central Otago Consortium or at least the Secretarys.. No trainer should ever be subject to this crap..Its the same treatment the Champions are receiving.from Ashburton.
  2. Theres more where that come from. Get on for the Dominion Handicap when it opens.
  3. Come on guys. Broaden your outlook. Be flexible. You can video record the program on Friday and play it back Saturday morning if you prefer or watch it on the Internet. That takes care of current practice and does not disadvantage you. Picking winners over two days gives you a better chance of a return in a fixed odds multi.. Multi up standouts on Friday into TFC selections for Saturday. Makes all up fixed odds betting more attractive to punters and creates more opportunities for multi bettors.
  4. Brilliant article. Says it all. Simply contract SKY for the television and TAB CORP for the punting. My old hobby horse.
  5. Sure did. Case will be referred to RIU for action
  6. They administer the rules of racing overall. After that it is legal matter sorted in the Courts.
  7. Yes as follows. 9 NO colt, entire or rig shall be gelded without the lessor’s written consent.
  8. Question 1: How would you react and what action would you take if a stallion leased out for racing was gelded by the leasse without the owners consent.? Question 2:.Would the RIU have any liability if they approved the action only to realize later that their advice was incorrect.?
  9. Rumpole. He is riding our horse Neesta at Timaru tomorrow and should chalk up another win. Fingers crossed. Thank you for accepting our booking.

Count us in. I bred Muscles Galore in the 3yo trot and will be on course with 5 syndicate members, grandson and four of his uni mates. I have major multis going for him to run in the first three. The draw is a negative but we have been patient and selective with him. Good luck to you all.
  11. Craig Edmonds at Motukarara. Great strike rate with trotters.
  12. The upsetter….Muscles Galore
  13. Great news. Welcome back T Lee. Sorry we can't offer you calls at Hutt Park but we sure enjoyed those days and the calcutta on the Cup. My wife still talks about the bid you took offer her foot when I had her arms bound to stop her bidding. CD wise will he be doing Premier meetings as well.?
  14. Go no further than number one. Get on now.
  15. Coverage gets worse….in todays Sunday Times only meeting covered is Cambridge. No Cromwell gallops or Invercargill harness. Auckland dogs are never covered.
