Well they are galloping tracks If they are such a problem get HRNZ to build or buy a couple of specialized grass tracks for trotting pacing only
  2. The TAB's job is to market and sell the "Product" to achieve max profits and to be presented in such a fashion appealing to both existing and potential punters. The PRODUCT is provided by all racing and sports codes. Mmm is it Trotting helping the Dogs or vis visa. With Palmy if not for the horses traveling up from down South (??at who's expense) They would be lucky to field 3 races after all very few Northern horses are coming down. A mate suggested that if the Dogs could afford to build a new track, Palmy trots would be gone.
  3. Does anyone know whether the Aintree Jumps meeting be well televised live if not when and what time well we get the replys TAB help lines answer was I'm not sure 4FS thanks in advance
  4. Once the apartments are all occupied HOW long before they complain about the loud race commentaries ,leading to Firstly No night racing and later no racing with commentaries, You may well laugh and call me a tosser However may I remind you of Western Springs and Eden Park
  5. Construct a Strahayr track, and in the center lay a new trotting track Close Alexander park Trotts friday nights. Gallop Racing alternative Saturdays and Sundays
  6. 4FS I have been in the game since aged 11 I have lead horses in, owned horses, legged up jockeys and been told final instructions for jockeys from absent trainer worked as a race day steward Heard it all including I wont tell you how to "ride" to Dont knock it around today etc
  7. Are Hello Leggy They oftern well say how theywant the horse ridden and what the instructions well be to the jockey
  8. Many times in the bird cage and plenty on trackside when trainers being interview ie we well sit back and run on, or we well take a sit off the pace blah blah
  9. Adding to the problem is instructions from trainers. How often do you hear trainers tell the jockeys take a sit and start your run at the 600. All very well in a truly run "race" Horses are trained to stretch out and gallop not stop and start because most jockeys in particular apprentices are more focused on following instructions because if not ?? maybe they wont get many more rides from that trainer Our best jockeys read the race and ride accordingly .
  10. Fields in Thursday's Wanganui Chronicle They have been published for every local race meeting since lock down
  11. I well sort this out, Wont happen again
  12. Beautiful fine day. Track real heavy But good sole of grass
  13. I hope that complaints have been laid with police to charge him with, Animal Cruelty, threatening to kill/injure.

  17. Well the dogs are racing at Wanganui good social distance on track and boxing up THEN no cameras where the bunny stops. So I had to go and have a look. Looking through the fence yeah after the race in dive all the Catchers social distancing out the window what a joke, Could be same people catching for every race, but still breaks the guide lines.
  18. Has recently returned from Aussie Now rides track work in Wanganui (his home town) as he did a few years ago. well say he,s worked hard on his fitness and not sure about the diet BUT it's really working maybe he could share that with others. Not a bad bloke I wish him luck.
  19. Yeap the Big crash today, The damage done well scare any potential new punters and old away for ever. And of course no heads well role.
  20. I can remember Merv Richie racing the odd 2 year old without front plates, Maybe Frank Richie could explain
  21. Under Estimated loss of revenue : Are you going to bring forward the return of free to air TV racing channel ? (even if only for NZ racing) Also the return of hard copy Race books to other retail outlets beside the TAB stores. As this topic is for question only I have made it straight to the point, however I can offer 1st hand experiences of how the lack of the above are costing our game thousands of dollars 47 South The TAB have driven a number of innovations in this space with racing now being available on Spark Sport as well as on SKY.'s Trackside. There are active conversations underway to look at having some racing content available on free to air television and also through online media. RITA has been actively working over recent months to support a new punting magazine following the Informant closing, We are hopeful of being able to confirm a new publication in the next month or so.
