Thats the problem with this industry. Everyone pretends that this stuff isn't happening and everything is fine. Dont think the Nathan Jack incident is an isolated one and it doesnt happen here in NZ as well. Whats the point of going back and watching his previous starts he's been doing this with the horse forever. He has been backing it to place and anchoring in Trifectas and First Fours forever and about time they caught up with him. As Brodie has been saying it is a terrible look for the industry and how they allow him to keep driving is beyond me. The JCA needs to grow a pair and stop trying to not hurt the drivers and trainers feelings. They are not around to be mates with them but to protect us punters who are the life blood of the industry from these dirty dealings

They did nothing to Rory McIlwrick with his drive on Bourbon and Dry in Race 1 Show Day. I don't see much difference in the drives but there is a massive difference in penalties

I was just about to write about this race after watching it. He clearly anchored himself for 2nd in his Trifectas and First Fours. If he doesnt get an extended holiday for that I dont know why we even have Stipes. Should be many months minimum. He's a serial offender and its about time the stipes did something about it

Agree. Terrible drive that doesnt look good and as usual the stewards do stuff all. Obviously normally a great driver but this was one of his worst. Was a massive 3wd line when he gave a look so seems stupid to think Back Seat chick was going to hold Parked if Ariadne found the front like he suggested in the report. No doubt if A Lowe was the driver of Terracotta he would have gotten a holiday

Quite correct. Though i think that the evidence is pretty solid as the police had enough evidence to make an arrest. They'll probably make a deal to avoid jail time which would mean no more training or driving for the grub.

So Allan. What is your plan going forward betting wise on NZ trots? Has the restrictions made you try and use Aussie bookmakers to get bets on or are you using betfair now instead? Or have you just massively reduced your bet sizes and still using the NZ Tab quite regularly? I hope its not that latter as then you are doing exactly what the NZ Tab wants you too do
