Well I am one of the owners . DD was waiting for someone to give him a drag up and in hindsight waited to long as no one moved. Are we unhappy, I cant speak for all of us , but probably not. We have been well served by DD, but he is not infallible, and that's horse racing.7 points -
I've got th script here. Welcome to your TAB, aka Thieves, Arseholes & Bastards. We'll offer you fuck all but we're guaranteed to exploit the vulnerable members of society then spend the profits on international junkets, expensive private boxes at the Lion's rugby matches, flash offices, spin doctors & long lunches, what we won't do is invest in the racing industry or the hard working people who provide the product for us to sell to our unsuspecting victims. C'mon board everyone, let us bend you over and violate you while stealing your hard earned money, and giving you absolutely fucking nothing back.6 points

Honestly Brodie. You would win the NZ cup for whinging. Any betting organisation around the world bans or limits punters who win more times than they lose but you seem to be in to disbelief on why the NZ TAB does it. Are you honestly that stupid or are you just playing dumb. A casino will ban anyone who constantly wins all the time. If I won poker everytime i played against my mates would they continually let me play. Would any business in the world continually sell to another company for a loss. Pretty simple champ. NOOOOOOO. BRODIES world is obviously full of angels and flying unicorns.4 points -

Umm... Nearly overtaken? Try NEARLY DOUBLED Harness Racing's market share; 2015/2016 Racing Season - TAB/Bookmaker Tri Code Australian Wagering : ($m) Thoroughbred: 15,718.33 -- Harness: 1,760.51 -- Greyhounds: 3,162.14 -- Sports: 8,243.41 In NSW, Greyhounds have 16.3% market share to Harnesses 8.2% share yet only received 9.9% of the funding pie as a result of some dodgy deal signed in the late 90's. NZ Harness should consider themselves very lucky that; leadership at GreyhoundNZ is happy to continue to pour the money into the less desirable/lower turnover Sprint Racing, instead of improving the middle distance+ product.3 points

Trainers in Canterbury revolt!
Thejanitor and 2 others reacted to what a post for a topic
Can you point to any of these as justification for what these trainers are saying?. 1) Has turnover dropped. 2) Have field sizes decreased. 3)are you getting more short priced favourites 4)Are horses being retired because they can no longer find races they are competitive in. If so can you advise where their data came from. Also you refer to trainers being unhappy. What specifically are they unhappy about? Has it anything to do with wanting the good young horses held back from progressing through the grades?3 points -

I am lucky enough to be in the same syndicate as enteebee so also have an interest in 2 horses racing in the jewels. To say I am proud is an understatement - it is a dream something that I never envisaged happening to a little person like me. What makes it so special is that I am sharing this moment with so many great syndicate members who have been introduced to this wonderful sport by someone who really wanted to share a dream with other people. We may not spend the money that the big owners spend or have the really big time trainers but we have a passion that can be seen every-time one of our horses race.It doesn't matter where the meeting is we are there supporting the industry and of course our horses. It is not just the members who are there but their family and their friends. We support the clubs by going on course, by using their catering and their bars and of course by betting but most importantly our money is supporting all clubs be they smaller clubs or bigger clubs. At Ashburton on Sat there will be a huge turnout of members, family and friends all contributing to the coffers of Harness racing in general. This is good for the club and Harness racing in general, Personally I don't care how many races the big owners or stables win because to them it will just be business as usual but for us it will be a dream come true. Win lose or draw we will be there in force and although a win would be great we are realists and know that our trainers will have done us proud regardless and that we still have 2 good horses, Finally a big thanks to Nathan Williamson, Phil Williamson and Brad Williamson for taking us on the drive of our life - good luck everyone!!3 points -

They have trials between the two set dates at all 3 tracks. All nominated dogs times are included between those two set dates. Than the first and second fastest timed dogs at all venues make up the final with the host venues 3rd fastest dog also making the final and a coin toss between the other two venues for the final place in the final. Than they are seeded into a field where all dogs race in groups of two and the fastest time is the winner of the race2 points -
We know Brodie, we know. You've already told us at least 77 times! Any update from the Human Rights Commission? Anyway, my guess would be this. The TAB think the $7K punter is a mug and fancy their chances of collecting from him. They have no such illusions about you. You should be flattered.2 points

What a little cracker that Guy Fox was. Having his first jump start with Sarah MacNab having her first jumps ride. Well done to both, they won well. Backed in to $3.60 ($6.00FF this morning) They got some. R3 GUY FOX $6.00FF Going outside the square here with the youngest rider and horse in this hurdle race as they both make their debuts over hurdles also. This fellow has been going ok on the flat with a five length win two starts ago and following that up with a strong closing third last start. Horse and rider have combined together at their last seven starts and both will have done plenty of schooling together also being attached to the Myer’s stable. The 3kg claim will also assist. For multiples Justa Charlie, Red Mafia and Yipson.2 points

Brodster's IQ must be hovering around 40... he is so thick he can't get around his restriction... he thinks as soon as he enters a TAB a buzzer starts going off at head office because they're scared of him. He's also quoted theirs no cameras linking to head office in pub tab's... Why don't you go to your local TAB and get a betting voucher and use an SST or go to a pub tab and place your bets... If you honestly think you can only get on for 1500 at an agency / SST / pub tab then your obviously a liar... I know plenty of people that are 'anonymous' to head office that can get on for 4+ figures without any trouble, the odd bet might take 10-15 seconds for bet approval but generally they are accepted straight away... Brodster ( eg Wayne the real estate agent ) is dead set full of it.1 point -
This is quickly turning into a thread that should be labelled 'let's see how much Cat can lose on the jumps in 2017'! Just Ishi fell when travelling ok, but Wise Men Say, who is a favourite of mine, was far too good. I thought he would be a horse that would take a few runs to get to winning form. Cullister momentarily looked a threat just before the turn, but battled from there.Upper Cut won well, and he'll be a big threat over the bigger fences, and Max was very tough late in the race. Guy Fox, well, a horse having his first ever hurdles run, against some very handy types, with a jockey having her first race, just raises all sorts of red flags. But as I'm quickly learning, don't underestimate the Myers magic. I should add, I'm no expert on jumps racing and have no stable connections to jumps trainers - I just thought it would be fun to try for a season, and despite my poor results to date (which I know I'll turn around!), I'm actually enjoying the action! I'm sure that once we have a bit more exposed form, the winners will flow. Win - 35%, P/L - loss of $139.30 on turnover of $8991 point

Trainers in Canterbury revolt!
LongOwner reacted to Happy Sunrise for a topic
Not getting at you 45. Just to be clear. But WAP is correct. One must provide specific examples and data to support the claims that are being made. I would expect the trainers to have made a presentation outlining this at the meetings. They could have given one example from their stable to show how the new system is not working and then they would have had a big list and something to work from. Then they could have been posted on here for everyone to see the argument. Unfortunately, heresay and gossip seem to be ruling the day.1 point -

Very disappointing commentary about The Devil's Own. Going on about team driving and saying it wasn't. But then agreeing with the rules about how it couldn't be disqualified. If Aloka or Alta Maestro had been racing in a big 2-year-old race in Australia and had got cleaned out, in the same way, would their reaction and comments be the same? Talk about missing the point completely. Is the rule fair? Then Piccadilly Princess....Guerin says Mark Purdon yells 'look out, look out, I am coming through' and most drivers will give others room so it is normal...and says he has no issue with the drive by Rasmussen. Would any other driver make room when they don't have to? Then amazingly Guerin says it is not like the horse cut down on another horse because we would be screaming blue murder! Did The Devil's Own not do that to Alta Maestro and consequently Aloka? Talk about being apologists for the Blue Brigade. What a crock.1 point -

Now we all know that Sylvia had a milestone Birthday last year, so how good was that at Trentham today, for her and Paddy ? Dr Watson ( 4/1) Dolcetto ( 3.6 /1 ) and Sylvester (1.90 place). Sylvia nearly got her treble, didn't she ? Her 3rd starter was in the last race.. Sylvester looked home at ( 6/1). Imagine Paddy at home with his scotch and his half share of a multie all up watching the magnificent ride by S Collett. We didnt get a new Ford Tractor< Paddy ...But we had all results covered with Dainty Rose at Ellerslie. Very hard to get a true figure for top-priced sale Ted--there could be Maher/Waller(Glyn Schofield) type manager operating in NZ who has massaged the price of the top-selling individual. The industry is the breeding ground for bull-shitters.( Not everyone contaminated however/luckily). Even at the auctions you are getting discounts, kick-backs, dummy bids which distort the true sale price.1 point -
