I think a lot of people missing the point on this thread. It's got nothing to do with the size of McDonald's bet. The problem is he used exactly the wrong bloke as a beard. That's why they came down on him like a ton of bricks, and why his suspension looks out of whack with Oliver's.3 points -

Your absolutely spot on with what you're said here "all the way"...week in week out wheelchair norm and goat (amongst other top sprinters) were in different fields...I guess thats how they do their selection down there. Fantastic dogs the pair of them might I add. Mikes right when he suggests not "biting" when gary and joe blogs try to wind you up...hey they have never had the nuts to name themselves on here EVER and they never will... they are gutless stirrers who would leave a trial of raw sh#t on the ground behind them whilst running away if anyone ever confronted them (but cant cause they keyboard warriors). You actually have a very solid knowledge of everything dogs so dont let the stirrers put a damper on your passion mate. Brent Littlejohn2 points -

Valmagne needs to be retired 135 starts Cant win a nil field at Manawatu and hasn't won in more than a year Feel bad for the old fella only having one actual spell in his years as a race horse Craig Kennett needs to pick up his big gut and give the old boy a retirement1 point

If the owners make up a name like luisanabelle etc then certainly they can decide how they would like it pronounced, but montrachet is actually a real name.1 point -
Currently this year Porky I am betting Level Stakes, it is the easiest and safest way to punt. I can chuck all the bets on and go do something else for the rest of the day. I have an article for you when I can figure out how to copy it for you I will post to highlight why so many go wrong.1 point

Analyse a lot of Valachi Down's mating's in the past and current and you will see the point I have made, this is not solely just in reference to this horse, Hickman is not afraid to use a range of stallions or buy non-commercial broodmares in order to achieve matings that have a set line breeding pattern and that are often line bred to influential stallions or mares, He has often looked to duplicate the great mare La Trionne in some of his horses also which with analysis can be seen. Newton may be just a standout physically, as both Authorized and Footstepsinthesand were both taken off the shuttling lists reasonably early by Darley and Coolmore respectably after having limited success in the southern hemisphere, although the mare was black type placed in the South Island and a couple of other Zabeel G1 winners feature close up in the pedigree so a very nice pedigree1 point

I agree on with you on following KC blindly in its purest theory and perhaps should have mentioned that in my initial post, although i did say "some variation of" in my defence. I risk a max of 3% of my bank per race investment as per what Barry mentioned and thats a comfortable level for me. Not sure the wife the wife would let me go to Vegas again.1 point -

Slim Shady reacted to alltheway!!! for a topic
Yes, and swimming goat ran 18.37 at Auckland. Sketchy chief ran quicker the same day. I am not saying they are the best. I am saying that when you only have 1 race per grade per meeting instead of 2-3 races per grade per meeting, you have to race the top dogs on weekly basis in that region where as with 2-3 races in that grade per meeting means you don't have to race the top dogs of that grade per week as they were spread across the races. Swimming goat has not had to race dogs like wheelchair norm every week because if he did, he would have been beaten not all the time, but every now and than, he would have if he made a mistake early like he can. That is my point. I used nangar star, subic bay and yeboah as an example as they were all in the same category as swimming goat but were unlucky enough to race eachother on a weekly basis1 point -

Yeboah had three looks and ran 17.12 after travelling. I can't see why he couldn't break 17.00 there consistently if he raced there week in week out1 point -

Last time i led anything was many years ago when i led the race out of the church so i didn't have to get married. Sadly, like what will happen in this competition, i surrendered my advantage and was dragged back in to sign on the dotted line. I've been losing ever since. If it wasn't for bad luck,i'd have no luck at all so i will enjoy my fleeting moment in the sun.1 point -
A lot of mistakes made in this case. He should never have put himself in this position in the first place Midge Snr. End of story - albeit a sad one1 point
