Hi Spotspot
Thanks for that, and yes it has been a long time coming.

Was hoping to call and see you on our trip down South in early June but the better half had set her heart on visiting the Moueri Boulders or something like that, and we ran outa time.Just round stones on the beach to me.

Hoping to get down there next summer and will definitely look you guys up.

So whats happening with Spot of Gold, and have you any others going at the moment?

Nice run

Hi Frugie

I am sure you are pleased with the first up run tonight.

It is the ultimate buzz for any of us interested in Harness Racing to have your horse get to the races. I am sure your wee mare will give a lot more fun as she looks a handy sort.

I have always been a fan of smaller horses and a couple I had shares in where certainly on the smaller side, but weren't lacking in courage at all. One has gone on to leave some quite nice types despite her lack of size.

All the best for the future

As an aside - a guy called Woody I am pretty sure used to have an interest in Little Frugies mum (may even have trained her ???) Do you know him?

Cheers Alf

Hi Alf
Thankyou for those nice words,Little Frugie did us proud last night, and the great part of it all is that she loves to race,no nerves at all, which most trotters suffer from, and she trotted easily throughout and really enjoyed it.

"Woody" is Ian Wood who gave us Little Augie in 1995 after she had won two races as a pacer in 15 starts. She was trained for her first win by Robbie Hughes and her second win she was trained and driven by Stuart Cruickshank.

Ian Woods is a really neat guy and we will always treasure the wonderful four years or so we had racing Little Augie as a trotter and giving her 74 starts for four wins.

Ian lives in Cambridge and he will no doubt be popping along to watch Little Frugie at the track.I will pass on your best wishes to him soon.

cheers frugierod
