correct of course, we're not perfect either but we have quite some way to go to be your equal when it comes to treachery and deceit.

I think they are getting a bit concerned about the harness increasing their market share, owing to their ineptitude. They should be looking at themselves instead of blaming everything on the harness code. Section 16 was to make up for harness not having saturday race days which are obviously the best days for turnover. Now that the trots are coming back to a fairer deal with saturday night racing perhaps an adjustment could be made. I would presume if harness were to get a reasonable number of saturday day meetings then section 16 could be abolished. Then we could see who was the better run code, if that is what these galloping supporters are so worried about.

Fight ya MF"S

Today I have sent emails to both NZSBA and NZTBA to cancel my membership to both associations.
I know I am only one,and the best of luck to the rest of you, but I have had enough of this sh#t.
I have racing stock, and young stock left but as soon as they are sold or retired, I am finished.
In saying that, to be fair I have been involved since Leo was an apprentice, quite some time ago now and have had some wonderful moments and met life long friends along the way,
The hard part is to bow out at an all time low.
The very best of luck to all small time owner/ breeders who continue to fight the battle. There is no thrill bigger than watching a horse you have designed, bred, reared, broken, and successfully raced, achieved to the best of its ability.

Its quite a thrill to get partners who pay on time as well, you know who you are, thanks guys.

You could make that case.

But funny thing is, every time we have talked about it (and we can certainly do it now we have two TV channels) the only talk arriving from the other codes is to retain the status quo (now work out why).

But if TB had its own code-controlled TV channel, it could use it any way it liked to create code-specific revenue streams.

Hell, if we couldn't fill it up with TB product from around the world, we might, from time to time, even offer to buy some of your code product - to use as fillers or real entertainment when buying your best "cup" offerings.

This is how the free market works.

Dont listen to bazzag Cafer's

The old sod has crashed in his Lazyboy.
He has been drinking single malt Glenfiddich since he won five grand of Kaap Kruis, well done Wayne & Judy M.

I make the decisions in this house,

Awww, don't go that way.

Another two more decades and we might be racing for what they race for every Sat in Qsld.

I say give them one more chance and after that it won't matter - you'll probably be too old to care.

Donny dear

You would not believe what I have been doing to try and wake the old sod up.
He just sits there with a big smile akin to father Jack, on Father Ted, shouting "DRINK
I dont think he will last another 10 years
I got him to put a bet on with an outfit called Tower, (I think they are a casino) quite some time ago now.
Keep up the good work Donald....you have my vote.

I was a bit worried about what the "old sod" was until I discovered "miss" had signed off.

Nothing wrong with the odd drink of course but in the case of Tower, I understand that "casino" has a hell of a tax-take.
